-a short sleeved afternoon ride; Testing and conditioning on the Cruzbike, as my knees continue to rehab.
Stil not quite able to get off any bike gracefully. Dismounting from the right(formerly weak) side is by neccessity as dismount from the Left(injured) side is still painful.
Getting back to a point of normalcy would seem to be a matter of learning the new dismount and adapting to the limitations. I'm making slow progress. On the ride, the knees felt good and the former "favored"(Left) knee continues to regain ability. Perhaps my overall ability is more balanced at this point. I hope to increase strength in both knees and reduce weight as time passes...
Both knees are sloppy, with any force other than standing and normal flexing. It appears I have regained the flex mobility but not the former strength that used to be there on the Left. My overall ability has decreased but I am more balanced. This may be the NEW normal situation and something that will only improve. If my walking and step climbing abilty doesn't continue to improve, I may be forced to have surgery in order to meet minimum physical performance expectations in my occupation.
