Today I rode the Surly from home, but my calves were very sore from painting on the ladder the last two days. I just went straight up and down the trail. When going north at Linky Stone Park I had a mountain bike jump on my tail and drafted for 3 or 4 miles. We swapped places at the crossing at Sulphur Springs, then we rode together the rest of the way to TR. He was from Charlotte but was in town for his daughter’s swim meet. Of course he wasn’t allowed to attend, so he went riding. He got off in TR to eat lunch then head back to pick up his daughter. His name was Jeff. I rode on up the trail to the north end and turned back south. I stopped at the TReehouse and had a fruit cup with a cafe’ au lait and bought a banana nut muffin for Cissi. The ride down the trail was uneventful. It was incredibly crowded around Falls Park.
