Today I rode to the Park to met the Spinners group for the normal Sunday afternoon ride. I was there alone when two older riders Bill and Chris came. Ken came in to lead the ride, the Jason and Curtis showed up, and Cato came in right before we left. Jason, Cirtis, and Cato are all three pretty fast riders. So the seven of us headed up the trail. I rode at the back as normal. Bill was struggling a bit t keep the pace. I told him that if I get separated at a crossing or the like to stay with the group as I can catch up. I got caught at Blue Ridge and th egroup got away from me. He was dropping back but I waved him on. When I finally got across Blue Ridge I took off to run them down. Bill had hung back as he thought that I couldn't catch up, but I blew by him and yelled for him to draft on me while I chased them down. But Bill is not a drafter. Once I caught the group I slowed them down to let Bill catch up. We rode into TR as a group and Cato cut out up there. We stopped at the Forest and I had a cup of coffee and a raisin/cranberry cookie. I also bought a brownie to take home. We headed back down the trail and Jason and Curtis took off and left the group. BIll and I got dropped at one of the crossings. I ran the group down and slowed them again to let Bill catch up. We stopped at the Swamp Rabbit Cafe and I bought a pumpkin chocolate chip scone to take home. Officer Mike was there and we caught up on the latest gossip from the sheriff's department. We rode on down the trail to the park and I put my lights on to ride home on the streets.
