 Rolling Resistance

Question 1): How does a 35mm width tire roll with less resistance than a 32mm tire?
Answer: When it is by design.
Understanding that the more narrow the tire, the smaller the profile and in general less contact with the road and therefore less rolling resistance. EXCEPT: When a wider tire has a less aggressive tread design than a narrower tire, and tire pressures are equal, the less aggressive tread design will roll with less resistance.

Putting the new tires on the Globe was a rewarding effort today! The decrease in rolling resistance translated into a faster ride.
