Jerry Vogt, a friend and road trip companion over the past 7 years has succumbed to injuries related to a freak cycling accident in Oct.2016. Jerry's tragedy left him in a quadriplegic condition which he was never able to recover from.
During 2016, Jerry had the year of his life cycling thousands of miles, on many road trips with RBC friends all around the upstate region. I am grateful for the rides and bond of friendship we shared.
With many excuses, I have not done any biking since Nov. 2nd -not even commutes. My overall effort this year has been pathetic. Don't get me wrong, I have had a substantial amount of yard and garden activity as well as substantial hours driving School Bus this year. Overall the lack of contentment with on bike activity has been punctuated with an overall satisfaction with my life and health. Understanding where I am and how life's lessons turn have been a quickening experience this year. -Tempis Fugit
