Fifteen days seems like a long time ago since my TKR.
I am a bit troubled by the Coumadin therapy. The Coumadin interferes with normalizing my lifestyle. I wonder how beneficial it is to use "Rat Poison" for weeks on end when Aspirin or Ibuprofen could perhaps accomplish the same goal, with the added benefit of anti-inflammatory and pain relief activity...
Fact is Doctors are too busy or too focused on one methodology for custom tailoring post-surgical therapy. This is where the philosophy: "We are each our own best physician" runs into an obstacle. From my perspective, I am ready for some light outdoor activity (biking). Driving an automobile wouldn't be a problem since the right knee has not been affected, but I must wait for clearance from my physician.
Additionally, Coumadin therapy is a factor to consider if falling is a possibility during outdoor activity such as walking or biking. Anyway, I'm sort of in a holding pattern 15 days in.

Things are looking up!
Apparently my Home Therapist, Cindy "Make-a-wish", was able to plead my case successfully to Dr. Niles. Just received news the Doctor will clear me next week. My post-surgical appointment has been moved up by 3 weeks...
