Weather Conditions: Overcast, Southerly winds, gusting to 30+ mph; a smattering of rain homeward bound; |

Along with a glow from Rochester to the Southeast, the translucent cloud canopy of the predawn darkness was illuminated with the fainter glow of an almost full-moon high above.
The predawn ride to Hilton, heading in a Northeast direction, involved conditions which included a mild 53° air temperature, along with 30+ mile per hour favorable cross-winds.
The favorable wind gusts aided a quickened cadence and a sub 30 minute ride in to Hilton, in spite of using the generator powered head and taillight and 35mm wide tires.
The return ride was punctuated with unfavorable wind gusts and a spattering of rain.
