With the New Year coming up It seems reasonable to look ahead and plan... Having now achieved 39,000+ "journaled" bike miles in 8 years, and more than 41,000 lifetime bike miles. Being nearly 59 years old and a FAT guy, having this level of physical activity is all good, and a base line for continued physical accomplishemnt. At this point in life, I feel good physically and emotionally. The goal is to "keep going".
Perhaps another bike will help me increase my level of effort on my commutes? Been looking keenly at the "Elliptigo 8c". Work commutes make mileage accumulation routine. Feels like a blessed existence to be where I am...
I intend to re-double efforts to lose 50 pounds, beginning in 2013. It's mostly about decreasing my caloric intake at this point. From another perspective, these artificial knees do not deserve the stress of carrying 243 pounds for another year. And after all, the goal is to make these knees last another 40-50 years. Another consideration for any weight loss in conjunction with my current activity level, would be a pound for pound fat loss. ~Todays ride: Hinkleyville->Ridge->C-P.T.L.->Burritt->Butcher->P.Ctr.->Manitou->Latta->N.Greece->Peck->Trimmer->Ridge->Hinkleyville->Home;
