Any day (without snow) is a perfect day for me!
I'm writing this description Friday morning 12/19 @ 10am. It is hardly a perfect day right now. I may not get a ride in for today. However, this has been an extraordinary week as far as Winter biking tallies the toll. Thursday was top notch!
The start of my "perfect" day was another pre-dawn bike commute to work. The perfect end to the day was the evening bike ride back home.(3rd round trip this week)
My work for Thursday was extensive. My Basic work day routine requires about 5 hours of bus driving duties a day. Normal early morning routine has me up at 4:30 and out the door at 6am.
I left the house at 5:40 this morning. A belly filling bowl of Oatsquares, Honey nut Chex, and a Banana, all heated in the microwave until the banana dissolves, then covered with 12 oz. of 1% milk, makes a delicious and hearty breakfast.
Early temperature was 29°F, it hardly rose or fell from there.
So it was extra early, leaving the house with a belly full of breakfast, and a bag of food lovingly prepared by Ginny. The time commitment for bus driving today was 12 hours and 40 minutes (including about 3:30 in layover time). The evening portion of the bike commute, after 7pm, was under similar conditions as the pre-dawn ride.
