Spent the afternoon on the porch drilling out the wheels on the Dahon Cadenza to accommodate Schrader tubes.
My Reasoning for the change to accommodate Schrader tubes was to facilitate easier filling with anti-leak compound -highly recommended when you commute as often as I do.
It was a week ago Sunday that I flatted about 3/4 of a mile form the house. My Cadenza was the only bike without anti-leak compound in the tubes. Presta valve tubes with removable valves can be filled with anti-leak compound but the only Presta tubes I had available to me did not have removable valve cores. And of course all Schrader valve cores are removable! Also The valve core is larger on Schrader tubes and more easily can be filled with the anti-leak stuff.
After drilling out the wheels I installed the Tubes filled with anti-leak compound and took a ride around the block...
Installed a more aggressive tire on the drive wheel and the diameter change has the effect of showing shorter ride distance (-.1/ 5miles) need to reprogram the computer... reset the computer to 2026mm = circumference for 26x1.5 tire (more exact would be a wheel diameter measurement x 3.1416)
