Twenty-Nine to be exact. Down from Thirty-Two originally. I have collected 3 momentos over the past 10 years, including one from today. The experts call it a hereditary disease. At least I can smile -now one less toothy. I shed a tear today for the loss, even though I have the momento...
Such a beautiful day today too, the most a December day can be. Unfortunately, I was in the midst of a raging oral infection that flared-up Monday afternoon and caused me at least 40 uneasy hours.
As luck would have it, I had previously scheduled a dental appointment for today, to have a "little elective procedure" (some sort of plating/bonding). So I stuck it out (excruciating discomfort) waiting to make todays 9:30 appointment. The thought was, that either this infection would abate on it's own, or I would redirect treatment to take care of this more pressing oral situation.
Perhaps I shouldn't have waited since Monday? The outcome today was an "extraction" with 7 days of antibiotic therapy to complete the treatment.
So now its down three with 29 left to last to the finish. One of them has been rattling around for a few years now -it's just a matter of time before I'll be down to 28....
