Definitely a low effort output ride, with a steady sauntering cadence. ~41.6(lb-mi)a performance statistic indicative of nothing -YET! There is a goal to quantify effort used on a ride. Pound-Miles(Weight x distance ÷ Ride time) is a component in evaluating ride effort. What is yet to be developed is a Cross-reference chart that will enable one to equate lb-mi to average watt output or average miles per hour. A cross-reference table will have to encompass the typical parameters used to measure watt output. There is a correlation already to MPH.
If I do nothing else with this idea, a chart that recognizes how weight can effect average speed may be a useful statistic for comparing riders of different weights under identical cycling conditions. I'm not sure it is possible. The prevailing thought is that lb-mi are no more useful than the average mph statistic.
