I have resigned from my volunteer position as of January 1st, 2010. I have enjoyed the opportunity conducting Driver Safety Training classes. It has been a fulfillment of my desire to volunteer and be a postive influence on driving behaviors. Especially with regard to other drivers perspectives relating to cyclists and buses. Surely my impact in the big scheme was minimal, but I think it has been worthwhile. I just want to have less of an obligation going forward.
I recieved grateful acknowledgements from both DSP supervisors who have said I would be welcome to rejoin the AARP- DSP volunteer program anytime.
