The Wednesday 3/8 wind storm hit our region hard (81mph gusts)causing numerous trees to crash into power lines throughout Monroe County. We've been out of electrical power since Wednesday evening.
After 4 days of bearing up with no lights, or refrigeration, or central heat, there is finally linemen activity taking place along our street. We had low teen Fahrenheit temperatures on Friday and Saturday nights.
With the uptick in bucket truck activity today and a replacement battery for my Zurich to test, I headed down the road to survey the work in progress of the linemen from Quebec. These linemen from Quebec were models of efficiency and professionalism.
