Good dry roadway with just a bit of chill. A clear but breezy afternoon. Today was a more realistic test of the new battery for the EG Zurich.
The replacement battery provided by RPE finishes my experience with trying to refurbish a failing li-on battery. The capacity appears ample in this replacement. According to RPE, the battery is in fact new with no previous usage.
Finally, I can say this is the culmination of a somewhat nerve racking experience from the miss-effort at solving the battery power issue on the EG Zurich. What seemed like a nightmarish experience while ongoing, was the process for having the original battery refurbished by RPE, then with them having "lost" the battery in a "shipping mix-up". With promises to make things right -they refunded my $490 payment. Ultimately it turned into an extraordinary experience, with little out of pocket cost ($30 for one-way shipping). RPE procured an original equipment replacement battery, this I expect will function well for at least 300 recharge cycles (based on my original experience).
Perhaps I can expect an even longer useful battery life, now that I have acquired a better understanding of the whims and wiles of maintaining a Li-on battery!
