 A Goof on a Roof?
On my morning ride today was a sight I had never before observed, A Goose on a roof.

Yup, that's no Goof on a Roof, no that's a Goose on a Roof. An absolutely odd peculiarity. Before today I had never seen a Canadian Goose walking the ridge line of a roof on a 2 story Colonial house.

See a lot of the so-called "Canadian Geese" around this area, thousands of them! Many aren't Passing through. Many a Duck and Goose nest in our region. The Canadian Geese are a particular nuisance in that they are somewhat messy and ornery. See lots of 'em in the area waters. The Erie canal is a particular spot of their liking. Usually one would see Geese landing in a "harvested" corn field or a body of water. This Goofy Goose was high on the roof -I swear I'm sober!

Later I observed a fat Muskrat running with a "hop" in it's cadence, heading "full-bore" across a lawn, toward a creek. Also observed were a couple of male Red Wing Black birds fighting with ferocity and abandon.
