It seemed like the perfect ride for the six of us: Bill, Jerry, Bob, Gene, Tom and me -the "Corps of Codgers". The perfect ride magically developed after excessively needless email communication. Focus and teamwork -something for the Corp to figure out on future ride planning.
It was a good workout and a great time cycling around on Saturday.
After 3 days and more than 17 vacillating emails about when and where to ride -it all came together when Bill declared "Way too much confusion...I'm going to North Hampton tomorrow around noon, and do the Bergen Swamp ride..."
And so, after much needless communication, we had a great ride Saturday. Thanks especially, for the direct decision Bill made -declaring enough of the vacillating non-committal. And so, with our Core of Codgers it turned out to be a fabulous ride! I am grateful for being a part of the group.
I especially like the rides where we can start from my home. Saturday, it was completely sensible for Tom and I, it adds 7 miles to any route that would typically start from the Northampton Park Hubble Road parking lot. And of course, parking in my driveway is ample and safe. Everyone in our group is always welcome to base any ride start from there.
Tom mentioned it was a great ride! With Tom's general fitness, his re-acclimation to cycling, and dialing in the fit of his bike, he was able to pull lead on several legs of the route.
