Thanks to the youngster on the road bike who passed me at the top of PineHill. I chased the "Rabbit" all the way down the other side and managed a peak speed of 29.1mph into a 15mph headwind. No doubt after the hill climb, chasing this kid helped me bump my speed average over the 12mph hump. The kid seemed a bit reckless barreling left at Washington Street, narrowly missing a car.
Earlier I passed Betty and John as I was going up Gordon Road Hill they were coming down. I was West bound they were East bound. Betty works for Zeller at the Gleason complex where Ginny is employed. I turned East at the Towpath and and headed back towards Adams Basin. When I reached the lift bridge at Adams Basin, there was Betty and John resting now on one of the benches. We chatted about bikes and the weather for a few minutes, then I continued my ride
