2 miles into the pre-dawn inbound ride, that sickening spongy-feeling wobble, the rear tire was going flat. Stopped and confirmed the "infirmity". Called home to Bike-N-Gin for a bail-out lift ride.
Later I stopped home with my bus to pick up a spare tire. I purchased some tires from Nashbar and since the back tire on the Globe has experienced 3 flats seemed it was time to change it. I had a new tube in my rack pack and changed the flat back at Hilton Transportation.
Did a mid-day ride to Pettinaris and commuted home at the end of the afternoon run.
I had a mid-day bus run shuttling swimmers from the High School and a small VE group. There was a retirement luncheon for Deb B***on at noon too. A busy day!
