I took the Trek out today knowing that the trail is closed. I cut across town and got on Old Buncombe Road at Velo Valets. I followed Old Buncombe to Travelers Rest and followed US 276 to the cemetery north of TR where I turned to to the back roads to Tubbs Mountain. I followed Tubbs Mountain Road back to Tr and stopped at Walmart’s Murphy's USA and got a couple of bottles of Propel and a bag of nuts. I rode to a haded spot to snack and drink, but noticed my front tire was nearly on the rims. I called Cissi to come get me. I figured that it would be a good time to call Mom, but they told me she had been discharged from the hospital. After a lot of phone wrangling I found that she had been transferred to St Joe’s in Tucson, but I couldn’t get ahold of her there.
