I rode the Trek from home today and met Steve Y at the Shrine Club on Beverly. We rode to Crestwood then did the Dreamland/Patrol Club loop. While on North Parker we were held up by a semi flat-bed trailer that had fallen into the ditch in a construction zone. Once we got by him we did the big climb on Old Rockhouse Road. At this time I noticed that I was getting a lot of grit in my eyes and that I had left the windscreens for my glasses at home. We rode from there to the 3 Oaks Cafe where we ordered lunch and ate at some nearby picnic tables. I had meatloaf, with green beans, broccoli, and mixed veggies. We headed back down the trail when we came onto a couple of hefty women walking and one poor gal had pooped her pants and was walking down the trial. We rode back down the trail and into town. We climbed the big East North Street hill and I turned off to go home. Once home I realized that I hadn’t restarted Strava at 3 Oaks and lost half my ride. In a few minutes Steve called with a flat tire and his pump wouldn’t air up the spare. I pocked him up and took him home.
