For me, 2004 miles since January seems like an achievement until I compared it to last years mileage...2007.2 miles! Realizing this years mileage is no better than last years mileage is fine. It's just that it feels like a lot of effort to achieve what I've already accomplished in years past. My commuter mileage is up this year. However, my recreational mileage is down. Leads me to the conclusion that there are only so many miles I can do and I am at about my limit...
Remembering what happened last June, I am resting more/sleeping longer this year. And getting less done! I do not want a repeat of last years knee situation...
