Receiving compliments and coming off as a positive example is a real honor! Recently several co-workers have started biking to work because of my example.
Having witnessed my dedication to bike commutes, many co-workers seem to have been inspired to try it themselves.
Angie's recent dedication to bicycle commuting is getting noticed by our other co-workers. Angie is being teased a bit by being called "Mig Jr"(not a reference to the more famous "Mig" rider). She tells me it is an honor to be refered to that way. Another co-worker, a would be commuter asked me to speak to her husband about the benefits and attributes of buying a pair of bikes and cycling. Also, an "in-crowd" co-worker (Kathy A.) took my advice and went to "Bicycle Outfitters" -a LBS. Kathy bought the Raleigh commuter bike I had told her about.
Biking commuter fever seems to be taking hold in Hilton, at least with some bus drivers, students and a teacher or two. It's as if seeing others biking to work or other places starts people thinking about the concept of biking as a form of fitness and transportation...
