Slower than last Saturdays ride. I didn't finish the tour complete. Perhaps it was too warm, beyond my level of acclimation. Certainly excess weight which I've been trying to shed played a part.
For sure it was NOT weak or undeveloped leg muscles or anything else relate-able to my knee replacements. Whatever the cause, I did not feel capable of keeping the peloton in sight.
So, I thanked Bruce for his superior ride leadership. Then, finished my ride turning off Winton Road at Atlantic and returning to my truck.
For Clarification: When I say Bruce is a superior ride leader, I wouldn't attempt a ride with any "RBC group" without Bruce either being the ride leader or my ride companion!
