Today I rode the Surly from home down to Cleveland Park through Falls Park and to the trail. I followed the prescribed detour going north. At Furman I went by the baseball field and stopped to take a picture. The university sure put a lot of money into upgrading the facility over the past few years only to shut down the program. That was very disappointing. From there I continued north playing a game of tag with a group of electric fatties. They blew by me pretty hard climbing the hills, but I passed them back going down the hills. I stopped at the TRee House and had a 12 ounce decaf au lait. Gene was in the kitchen and I talked to Paige and met Rachel and Brook. Later Kristen came out with some kids and one little girl impressed me with her knowledge of numbers. The ride down the trail was fairly uneventful. I saw Pat and one of the twins when climbing Hillside. I didn't stop long as it was spitting rain and I didn't want to get caught in the rain.
