Today I rode the Surly from home through Cleveland Park and Falls Park to Hudson Street then took it up the hill to the post office to meet Erica for an evening ride. We got away from the post office around 5 and took Washington and worked our way to the Hampton Avenue Bridge then followed Hampton Avenue back to the trail. We rode straight up the trail to the north end and stopped for a drink. Then we rode back down the trail and had a moment of excitement somewhere south of the pocket park. We came on what I think was an Eastern King Snake. I didn't know what it was other than a snake and Erica is terrified of all snakes. I saw it and called it out as it was where she would have hit it. She was pretty excited about that one! I dropped her off at the post office then rode home via Cleveland Park and the big hill.
