Today was the Annual RARE (Rochester area recumbent enthusiasts) ride with Jerry, Pat, Larry and many others -a reunion of sorts.
There was one tandem 'bent, several Rans LWB, Pat's Velo Mobile, Larry's Linear USS LWB recumbent, and a multitude of Bacchetta's. Pat did the ride only to Lake Ave at the Turning Point Park climb out. I represented the only FWD, SWB, Recumbent (Quest Cruzbike).
Enjoyed my favorite commercial Beer (Southern Tier 2X IPA) at the Dinosaur Barbecue restaurant (at the Court Street bridge). Jerry Larry and I stopped only briefly there. Near the end of the ride, Jerry seemed to have exuberant reserves on the way back to Peck Road. I was mostly "spent" by mile 50. (pictures on right)-> young fellow wearing plaid flannel is Ruben a German exchange student attending Brighton High school. Ruben has flawless conversational English. second last image is of Larry; in the photo his Linear bike is just behind my Quest Cruzbike
