A lone(r/ly) ride day. While I am used to solo commutes, my recreational rides generally involve sharing the experience. There was much to see today !
The Robb Farm was having a CSA re-aquaint. I felt chatty and had a conversation with a fellow cyclist and then a brief chat with Tracie Robb. Tracie praised and commented that Ginny and I have been the most consistant supporters of her CSA since it began. At the re-aquaint, Tracie was offerng a choice between red leaf lettuce or Bok Choy. After mentioning to her that I was biking over to RG Brewery/5 Brother's Winery, Tracie told how her Apples were being used exclusively in one of the specialty wines at 5 Brother's. Arriving at the brewery/winery I discovered the apple wine was being featured as a slushie. It was extraordinary!
On the way over to the winery/brewery I passed by activity at Northampton Park where there was an aerial display and performance by the model aviation club that meets there.
A little further South on Sweden Walker Road was a sign for Ledgedale AirPark They were featuring rides on a Ford Tri-Motor plane: http://www.eaa.org/en/eaa/flight-experiences/fly-the-ford-eaa-ford-tri-motor-airplane-tour/ford-tri-motor-tour-stops. I watched as I pedaled by the airport that Tri-Motor was a sweet looking beast as it flew around the area, lumbering distinctly as it plied the sky. An interesting day to be biking on the West side of the county!
