Mid-way through July and another ride with BruceW;
Playing catch-up with this ride in two literal ways: Getting my July mileage on track with an interesting tour and new vistas. Trying to keep pace with Bruce on those Lake Road rollers.
The weather was perfect for the ride. Starting out from the Baytowne Wegmans we headed East. Principle thoroughfares on our path included Plank, State, County Line, Old Ridge, Route 21, Lake, and Bay roads. Knees worked fine, lungs burned a bit on those Lake Road Rollers! Some great quaint towns along the way to Pultneyville (The Underground Railroad -Northern terminus).
At the Underground Railroad Park in Pultneyville, we met a happy couple from Canada 10 days into a bike tour around Lake Ontario. They were West bound to Toronto. Another couple (teen-aged) were on a 20 miler bike ride. A couple of Women Passed us at Webster park. They were Whooping it up and really moving along fast through the rollers(too fast for "photo op").
Thanks to Bruce for the Horse photo (he mentioned he was taking a picture of horses so I captioned it appropriately). It was a great ride with Bruce -a great ride companion!
