Old Erie Canal Ride with Fred Larson (photos and ride details are posted on my journal)
This epic ride involved starting from a point east of Syracuse. I define "epic" as any ride with Fred Larson, a friend from the old days when I was employed at Gleason Works. I met Fred when I was an Apprentice in Department 89. Fred was and is a "Renaissance Man" in the realm of a "can do, intelligent solver of problems and challenges, facing and resolving practical issues economically, and sharing his acquired knowledge along the way. It is a treat to share time with Fred.

I have written this note 7/12/2011 as an addendum; Photos and ride details are posted on my journal which can be accessed by navigating to the "ride entry" (above the title) for Tuesday, July 17, 2007
