A ride with Bob Davis; starting and ending at my house. Along the way, we rendezvoused with Gene Ceccano and Jerry Vogt. The ride focus was a tour of the Charlotte neighborhood. while in Charlotte we monitored an ongoing dredging operation at the mouth of the Genesee and the Marina construction site. Also, we were amply entertained for a few minutes with a Bikini Volley Ball tournament (I should have gotten some photos of that action -Doh!). Additionally, we toured Gene's childhood neighborhood, riding past the home where he lived.
Jerry and Gene left the ride as we approached their respective "neck of the woods." Bob and I covered the greater distance having started and finishing at my house. Upon arriving back at the house, home-brew was the choice for our ride recovery beverage. Quenched, we took a short spin around the neighborhood. Bob got to sample the EG Zurich on the short spin.
(7/19): Weight is 235 this morning. Could have been worse in spite of the biking. Feeling good over my self-control; Partied last night. Great time at Robert and Suzanne's new home.
