A major benefit of keeping a journal is the ability of having an accurate historical perspective for reference .
My weight loss, a perennial effort, typically reaches the mid-to-lower 230's in mid-August. Looking back through the past 5-6 years, the journal shows my weight is generally 4 pounds higher at this point.
The Weight loss preoccupation is a perennial effort. The typical annual fluctuation is usually 12-15 pounds, with my lowest numbers coming in September. Over the past twenty years, I have never bottomed out below 228-230, and usually those numbers are fleeting. By November, I'm on the way back into the stratosphere. So, here it is mid-July and my weight is 234 pounds. about 30 days ahead of some recent years for reaching that number.
So here goes an extra effort at trying to reach the 220's over the next month. Maybe this year I'll accomplish a lower set point. Feeling motivated to watch my consumption and to bike a bit more...
