with Fred as tour guide we visited several locks, a change bridge, an old aquaduct, and a hardware store.
Along the way we met Fred's hiking companion Dave (mild mannered nice guy) a retired school teacher from Marshall.
Fred's rear tire busted a belt and threatened to blow out. We sought a bike shop none was around. I suggested we find a hardware store for some duct tape. Fred chose strapping tape instead and was able to ride 17 miles more to complete the trip without mishap.
