On the towpath, we had an interesting political conversation about welfare, Medicaid, unions, and the state of liberalism with Joe a conservative retired Brockport cop. Sixty-year-old Joe was trying to get some exercise by biking with a goal of helping lower his insulin resistance. He always rides with a handgun because he wants to be prepared just in case.
