A nice, though "fast" paced ride with 5 RBC members, included were my friends Jerry and Pat...
It was another metric! This ride was on the Bianchi, as training for the upcoming Highlander. The legs are there for sure, but there is an issue with upper body fatigue. In any regard my speed was reasonable and a few work commutes should condition the upper body issues.
The upper body fatigue issues are associated with Palms, Wrists, Elbows, and Shoulders. About 40 miles into the ride they don't feel as relaxed, or as comfortable like they do when cycling on my 'bent"... The route was a variation of RBC#352 "Alabamy Bound". Looks like about a 6 mile cut as we went to visit the grave of a former neighbor of Jerry's.
James Moore, the former neighbor of Jerry was noted for his philanthropy, donating millions to Mercy Flight in his Last Will and Testament. His choice of burial site along with his Grave Marker, which had etched images of a Mercy Flight 'copter, as well his best friend a pet dog, a vintage John Deere Tractor, and a Steam Engine, all of which defined the man and his interests in life...
With 1384 feet of climbing and a 13+ mph average, the ride was a bit of a strenuous effort...
