I rode the Surly this morning from home. I forgot to turn on Strava until I was a 1/2 mile out. I rode to Verdae then headed up the trail. I heard Nancy W call out my name then I ran into Joe F, Wilson, and Ken D at the Furman RR car. Ken wanted to ride with me, so we rode to the north end and back. Somebody had a horse on the trail and there are 7 piles of road apples at the north end. Ken went on campus at Furman to gain some miles while I went on down the trail. I turned off at the Lakeview cut through and rode Old Buncombe Road back to the Orange Line. I stopped at Due South Roasters for a café au lait, then went in White Duck Taco for a steak 'n cheese taco on lettuce and filled my bottles with ice water. After eating my taco, I headed back to the SRC and got back on the trail there.
