Another ride with intervals conducted by coach BruceW.
Coach BruceW asked me how I felt after the workout last weekend, I couldn't quite remember much except a bit of Forearm/elbow/wrist strain and some leg cramping after the ride. This week's 4 hour+ workout seems to have had more effect. Hams, low Quads, Right Superior Tibio-Fibular Joint and general Right Knee stiffness, as well as the arm and wrist stuff.
Some of the hills differed this week. Mostly though the climbs and hill intervals were identical to last week but my attack was a bit more intense. We did not do a third climb at Riches Dugway. I covered about the same mileage as last week, but the ride felt a bit more intense even with the added flatland riding. I'm feeling "about capable" for a 70 mile version of the September 8th ride...
After the workout, I figured I would bike home. First though would be a stop at my Mother-in-Law's house to let Ginny in on the plan. However, when I got to the house they were out shopping. So, I toured some of my old haunts in the area, including a stop over at Lee's place. I haven't seen Lee in a year and a half, -we had a good chat. After a couple hour's visit I went back to my Mother-in-Law's home. Had a great pasta and meatball lunch, put my bike in the trunk of our car, and Ginny drove me home.
