Had a moderately quick and short ride accompanying Jerry and Pat back into their neck of the woods.
Jerry and Pat, my friends that are exclusive Recumbent riders, made a surprise stop over on one of their biking excursions. These guys are inspirational for me as far as performance potential and recumbent riding in general. Pat has this new fully faired Trike a "Bluevelo", actually a fully enclosed all weather HOV, with a 14 speed internal rear hub, front drum brakes, and a mechanical joy stick for steering. I'd guess it's around $10 "G's" new. He bought it used from the Quebec builder for slightly less than $7,000.
If Pat can justify that level of investment in an HOV, I suppose my more modest urge to own a Vendetta for $4000 is not being too extravagent...
