 Ebiking is fast and fun
I was thinking about my biking buds and how most of my cycling this year has been solo. Seems as if the older we get, the more complex it becomes for keeping an uncluttered, simple schedule. Maybe it is just a fluke of this year...

Then my thoughts went to some past biking buds, and three in particular: Fred, Lee, and Jerry, who were hardy and dedicated cyclists. Surely now, they are riding shiny new ebikes in the afterworld...

Often, there is a bit of a stigma when talking about riding an ebike versus a non-ebike.

Currently, I have 2 ebikes and 1 etrike, as well as 3 non-ebikes. I prefer the electric assist for speed overall -not because I don't pedal! My pedal cadence is consistently faster now than when I only rode non-ebikes.

When one pedals an ebike, one moves faster than one would on a non-ebike.

After more than 50,000 non-ebike miles, mostly during my work commute years, I can say I am a better cyclist now while pedalling an ebike! My cadence is faster, and so is my average speed. Personally, my per-minute effort comparing cycling ebikes and non-e bikes is about the same. The difference on an ebike is that I go further because I am faster per minute.

It doesn't matter if a bike is electric-assisted or not; If it has pedals, use your feet and legs and keep the crank spinning.
