Having been out Reed Road on several occasions over the past year, I have noticed Sautel Road along the way. A friend I went to school with and once worked with lived there. We were "Bachman snack food" distributors back when we used to hang out in the "80's". Don sold out of the business in the early eighties and went on to become a teacher at our old high school. We lost touch going our separate ways.
Anyway, it's been 22 years since I was at Don's house. Back in the day Don and Cheryl looked after our dogs when Ginny and I had our "big vacation" to Acapulco. So I wanted to take a bike ride over and see what he looked like today. At first I wasn't sure I had found his place.
No one was home at the place that seemed like a vague memory past. I took a photo to compare with an old photograph I've got buried around here from back in the day. Heading back, still unsure I had found the place, I looked back and something way in the backyard caught my eye...-an old step van with the "Bachman" logo.
