I left the house on the Surly to meet the Swamp ROMP at the Swamp Rabbit Cafe. I was heading to the cafe by way of Hampton Station and had a car run a yield sign and nearly hit me. I had to break hard to keep from hitting her. At the café Kathy was there with Jeff, Wilson, Erica, and me. We rode to Travelers Rest with stops at Sulphur Springs pocket park, the railroad car at Furman, the stop north of Furman, and the Gazebo in TR. We went to Upcountry Provisions for lunch. That was very confusing as Erica bought my lunch, while I bought Jeff's lunch and a Peanut Butter Diablo for Cissi. We each had a number but the wrong food was headed to everybody. Ramona and Nowell were playing, so I talked with them for a good bit. We had a good time at lunch. I teased Erica a good bit and Jeff was Jeff!
We rode back down the trail in a fairly orderly fashion. Kathy was parked at the café. Erica rode to the Commons then back to the café. I rode with Jeff to Broad Street, then headed across town. I was nearly hit twice crossing Main Street. Two cars turned left across my lane at the light then a car ran the red light to make a right hand turn and nearly hit me. From there it was a normal ride home.
