I rode the Surly from home a little late. I rode to Cleveland Park and Cleveland Park Drive is ow open, so I could get through it. I went up Cleveland Street to Camperdown and took Broad Street to Washington and went out by Hampton Station to OBR. I took it to Lakeview Link and got back on the trail. I looped the lake at Furman as they have drained it about 2 feet to repair a collapsed drain line. Then to rode to the TRee House for lunch.
I sat outside and they brought my scrambled eggs with bacon and sliced tomatoes, plus a fruit cup of grape tomatoes as a bonus along with my café au lait. Kristen was dismissing her early art camp and about to set up for another group, but she stopped to talk to me. I said Hello to Gene and Ragan. I rode back down the trail and caught Ken at Furman, but he didn't hear me. He left me at a crossing when I had to stop but I caught him at the Sulphur Springs light. There was another rider between us, then Ken and he started talking and riding side by side. He finally dropped back for traffic and I passed them. Ken caught me at the SRC and we rode in together. The sidewalk is closed at Linky Stone Park, so you can't get to the underpass without hopping a curb. Furman Way is still closed and has that miserable bypass. We came back into Cleveland Park on Cleveland Park Drive and rode by the "tree of death!"
