Billy called today when I finishing lunch wanting to ride. I changed into my riding clothes while he rode over. We headed out with Billy on a single speed and me on the Surly. We worked our way to Old Buncombe Road and took it north to Travelers Rest, then we came back down the trail to the Swamp Rabbit Cafe and got off before we were in the city. While on the trail Ken and Steve Y caught and passed us. We cut off after the Cafe and took the streets passed Birds Fly South then got back on Washington Street. We took it back to town then passed by the Peace Center and skirted around Cleveland Park. We climbed the big hill, but billy lives on the big hill so I dropped him off there. I worked my way back to East North. Street and right after I was on East North the Surly threw the chain off the front end. I tried to shift it back on, but it wouldn’t shift on. So I pulled off and put it back on.. That is the first time that Billy and I have ridden together and I had a good time with him.
