I went out for groceries this morning and saw what the weather was like because of the hurricane. We are in the outlying bands from Matthew. It was overcast and heavy windy. I drove to Hudson Street and parked just above the trail. I rode up the hill to TTR to check on the status of the rack for the Straggler. They had to order a special rack to fit over the disc brakes. The distributor finally got them in, but the order has been delayed since they are in the hurricane zone. I rode down to the trail and headed into the wind toward TR. I was just a little south of TR when I saw Ramona going south. I rode on a bit then decided to turn back and chase her down. I caught her just north of Furman and we rode together down to the Cafe. We turned around and headed back north. Now the wind was even stiffer than my first ride up the trail. We chit-chatted the whole way back to the north side of TR. She was meeting Noel at the Tandem Creperie. I gave her a hug and told her to say "Hey!" To Noel. Then I turned south and headed back down the trail. The wind really pushed me down the trail. What a windy ride!
