 Trail Ride
I drove to Hudson to take a ride up and down the trail. I hustled up the trail. I saw Cato going south while I was going north. I rode up to TR and crossed 276 to ride to the north end. I had a rider get on top of me crossing the street, so he and I raced to teh end of the trail. He got in my draft for a while, then I pulled away from him. I stopped at the north end for a drink of water and waited for him to take off so I could chase him. But he didn't bite. He fiddled around so I passed him, then rode away from him. I turned off the trail north of TR and worked my way to Tubbs Mountain Road then rode by Karen's trailer park. She was in so I stopped to talk to her. She had texted me yesterday about a cat for Alice. I talked with her but Alice's husband beat their cat with a cain and it ran off. I know that Meghan would freak out about that kind of situation and I wouldn't be comfortable putting a cat into that situation. Then Karen and I chit-chatted for a few minutes. I have always liked Karen and have a good time with her. Then I headed back down the trail. I saw Noel and Ramona going north as I went south and also ran into Cato again. I stopped at a crossing for a car and had a faster rider pass me. I jumped on his trail and chased him down the trail. I stayed within striking distance of him, then caught him sitting at another crossing. We took off and I got in his slip stream. nice I was about 30 feet from him, his draft pulled me right to him. I had to back off on pedaling to keep from running into him. We rode like that until we came onto a large group. He didn't pass them, so I passed and he jumped into my slipstream. He drafted on me the last two miles until I turned into the Swamp Rabbit Cafe. I had a couple of glasses of iced tea with a heated honeybun. I also bought another honeybun for Cis. From there I toodled back down the trail and to the truck.
