I rode to Cleveland Park to meet Cato for the Sunday ride. Ken was there with Cato, but Ken was just finishing a ride with Steve and Tom. Cato says that this is the third straight week for only one rider to show up and that he thinks it's time to finish having it. He and I took off up the trail. The trail was very crowded but it was also very windy. Riding up the trail was straight into the wind. The wind was very stout and it was a job to keep any kind of pace. Cato is a stouter rider than I am, but I dropped him when we started climbing at Furman. We rode on into the TR together then he cut off since he lives up there. I rode onto the north end, then turned back south. The wind really blew me back down the trail. I was riding 28 mph down the trail without putting any effort into it. I rode on south to Furman then called Cis to meet me at the Cafe. We met down there and went in for treats and a drink. Cis had an apple walnut scone with Bode Sport Black Cherry Grape drink, I had an heirloom/basil scone with iced tea, and I bought an oat berry shortbread to take home for Meghan and Sheri.
