Today on a bike ride along the Erie Canal
Upon leafless trees November's sun shining through making long shadows.
November sunshine having no warmth in shadows, windchill feels colder.
A blustery wind making November colder -shadows grow longer.
Contrasting shadows are chilled splashes of darkness along the towpath.
Along the towpath a Doe bursts through the thicket pacing with my bike.
Bounding alongside, the Doe -startled as I was, plunged back down the bank.
Then, hopping a ditch Crossing the roadway with haste The Deer was long gone.
