Early afternoon I drove the truck to the Swamp Rabbit Cafe and rode the Surly up the trail to Furman to meet Juan David, but once I was there I texted him and he wanted me to meet him at his home over by County Square. So I rode back to the Cafe and drove to meet Juan David. We had lunch and talked for a while, then I drove home.
When I got home I ran over Bella (one of Meghan’s cats) and she had to be put down. That upset me to no end. Meghan and I have worked together with cat rescue for a couple of years and I end up killing one of her cats.
That evening I drove to Cleveland Park and met Steve S, Don Y and Lynda, and Ken. We rode up the trail to an outdoor band concert at Furman. Cis met me up there and part way through the concert I saw Mauro and Bianca and went over to say Hello to them. I enjoyed the concert very much, but I thought about Bella the whole time. We rode back by way of Travelers Rest in the dark. I was having problems with my bike computer, Steve’s headlight fell off, and Ken’s headlight kept shutting off and then the battery died. We made it back to Cleveland Park and I took Steve home.
I messed up the Strava on both rides. It stayed on when I stopped the first ride and recorded me driving to Juan David’s and then home. I failed to start it for the second ride until after the concert.
