I rode the Trek from home today and rode to my Dreamland route, then got on the trail where OBR crossed it. I rode to the north end, then turned back. I stopped at the TRee House and had my decaf au lait. I saw Kristen, Gene, Paige, Brook, and Rachel there. Then I rode back down the trail, but when I crossed Sulphur Springs Road, there were 7 State Patrol vehicles, a fire rescue truck, and a fire chief truck with Sulphur Springs closed. A truck ran the crossing light, hit and killed a cyclist, then drove off. This happened a couple of hours before I passed through. The rest of the way down the trail, I was receiving texts (that I don't read while riding). I stopped in Cleveland Park and read the many texts from my cycling group and replied to them as well. Then when I rode up the HillsideDrive hill, I stopped and talked to Pat.
