Today I took the Trek out to go to Ken’s ride. When I started down the hill I realized that my back tire is flat. I ran it back to the basement and got the Surly out. I was about halfway to the park when I realized that my water bottles were still on the Trek. I arrived at the park and 5 were waiting for me - Steve S who was leading the ride, Steve Y, Mark, and new riders Rob and Michele. We started and fought our way through Falls Park. We met with Don Y and Lynda and headed up the trail. Michele is a new rider and was struggling to keep up. She and I fell off the pace. We regathered at the Pocket Park. But we fell behind again. Rob was waiting for us north of Roe Ford Road and he stayed with Michele the rest of the ride.
I led them to our turn-around across from the Creperie and back to the Treehouse. I had a peanut butter/banana smoothie. We headed back down the trail. Don, Lynda, and I followed Rob and MIchele and the rest of the crowd. We were behind the crowd but they waited several times for us. Mark went on ahead and Don and Lynda cut out at Linky Stone. The rest of us made it back to the park. I gave Steve his water bottle back as I had downed it 3 1/2 times. Then I rode the big hill home.
